 Certified 100% organic cotton.
Why Organic Cotton?
The production of cotton heavily impacts the world we live in. As one of the most heavily sprayed and treated of crops, the chemical fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides used conventionally on cotton have been shown to be dangerous to our health and the environment. Their residue leaches into groundwater and blows far and wide in the wind.
Cotton by-products are used for human and animal feed. The seed is pressed for oil used in processed foods and margarine. The remaining cottonseed cake is fed to livestock, the chemical residue becoming part of eggs, dairy products, and meat.
By using certified organic cotton you are protecting yourself from these residues, as well as the farmer, the the soil, the wildlife and waterways. For more information on organic cotton check out About Organic Cotton.
